Sometimes striking up a conversation with a stranger at a business networking event is a bit daunting.  What you really want to ask people is "Will you pay me some money for my product or service?" however this is just a little too abrupt!

Many businesses seem to slow down during December, take their foot off the gas, relax and take it easy.  Why is this?  The Festive break (if you have one) is only a few days long so why do business owners write the whole month off as a waste?  We should be using December to fill our diaries with appointments for January to get 2012 off to a flying start.
